Pirates Online, or POTCO, is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), created by The Walt Disney Company, based on the film series and theme park attraction of the same name. The game is the second MMOG developed by the Disney Online Studios - Los Angeles section of the Disney Interactive Media Group, after Toontown Online (which launched in 2003).

The game was first announced by The Walt Disney Company on April 26, 2005. It was originally scheduled to be released in summer 2006, to coincide with the release of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, but its release was pushed back multiple times. The game went through two beta testing phases during 2007 and was officially launched on October 31, 2007.

Pirates of the Caribbean Online is an animated MMORPG based on the popular franchise by Disney. The game has an impressive appearance customization process which allows players to alter their character’s body type, ear, mouth, eyes, forehead, and many other options. Voice acting, cinematics (featuring the main characters from the movies) and a real time combat system keep the game well paced and add to the unique atmosphere. With a theme that’s part historic and part fantasy, POTCO successfully transforms the Pirates of the Caribbean world into a game with broad appeal.
